LaNell Will Be the Doom of Me!!!!

I apologize for any inconvenience my lack of writing may have caused to my faithful followers but I have been on death's door most of the week and couldn't find the strength to put my brackets up for the Mountain West Conference Tournament. One of the reasons why I couldn't write was because I had the stomach flu. I shouldn't complain that I had it, it should be any chubby girls wish to lose 15 pounds in 3 days but when you are surrounded by skinny people that constantly make fun of you, video tape you and laugh when you are heaving your guts out recovery isn't very cheerful. Here is a friendly tip for those that are unaware; never go to your friends' home and throw up all over there bathroom. Yes, it is a sad tale when you are invited over to Than & Erica's for a lovely meal and then thank them for it by upchucking and contaminating their entire family! I do have to say that I was taken back when I heard a knock on the bathroom door and heard Than say, "Mikila, are you ok, let me come in there and clean it up." Than, that was very kind, thank you! Along with the kind words of Than I can also recall encouraging words from LaNell like, "you aren't even sick ..... I'm going to call your boss and tell her that you just want to stay home and watch the BYU game ..... you better not get me sick, I have a hot date Friday night ........ you and Sam have been monopolizing the TV the entire day...... Why do you think that Dwyane Wade is so hot, you two should have a kid and call it Tuffy Jimmer Wade .... you should be feeling better now since your eating ice cream!" I also had to hear about LaNell's ailments all night even though I was the one that was not feeling well
"my knees are hurting ..... I'm so tired .... can I have the remote, I don't want to watch basketball all night!" Well needless to say it turned out into an amusing night and for the most part,I have to admit that at one point I was rolling on the floor with laughter so I guess that means The Brownie Monster did say a couple of funny things. I had a good day except when I had to endure TCU losing to Utah, the stupid idiots! Which brings me to my next picture.

Bless my roommates soul, she isn't a sports fan at all and is a Ute graduate. Katie said 2 fairly humorous comments last night. The first was when I was making fun of ugly face (Nevill)and Katie said, "Are you saying that if he asked you out you would say no Mikila?" Sam, LaNell and I just looked at her for a minute in amazement and then I finally found some words which included, " I hate the Utes!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Who would even consider asking me that, I wouldn't even care if the huge ugly Australian was the most gorgeous man on the earth and was madly in love with me, he should have chose a different school!" The other funny thing that my roommate asked was, "does March Madness last one day?" If LaNell wouldn't have been there I would have told her yes. I am impressed she knew that there was such a thing as March Madness. This is an exciting month and with BYU in the Big Dance I am going to have to agree with Jana and say that my eyes will be glued to the television (maybe I will have to get the stomach flu again!) Hopefully LaNell will share the remote with me! I will be posting my brackets for the tournament up on my blog, I hope that others will do the same.

What A Week!!!

What a week! Its been full of entertainment! So many things have happened, its probably been the best week of my time out here in Utah. The weekend started when I was able to work at the McKay Events Center for the M C Hammer & Vanilla Ice concert. It was borderline hilarious but very entertaining. There were people that still fit into their hammer pants, about 90% of everyone needed to get turned into the fashion police!!! Other than getting high because there was so much pot there and having to scream at a couple of numb skulls I enjoyed myself.

The next highlight of the week was being able to go to the BYU vs. Utah game. I'm sure everyone is wondering why I have a picture of this pimp in a China made suit. I just have to tell everyone how wonderful Joel is for getting a ticket to this spectacular game for me in exchange for a massage. I know that he thinks that he is getting the better end of the bargain but I'm here to say that once he handed me my ticket, death itself couldn't of grasped it out of my hands! THanks Joel!!!!

The big game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an awesome game!!!!! I'm still excited that I got to be there and if you haven't talked to me in the last 48 hours I should tell you that I haven't been able to talk very well due to losing my voice at the game but the sacrifice was well worth it! A shout out to Miles & Jimmer for a game well played. It was the best game of the season! I guess those prayers of yours worked Sam :)

I thought this picture was very cute and because of the recent accusations against me about not liking to look at kids on blogs I thought I would show Pacen cheering mightily for the Cougars!

Here is the highlight of the week! Sean is a TRUE BLUE! When the BYU game was over he was harassed by some upset Utah fans and so he got this pretty shiner. When I asked him if he was ok he proclaimed to me, "if you think my eye is bad then you should see what happened to the other guy." Way to stand up for your team Sean!
Unfortunately the batteries in my camera died and so I wasn't able to get pictures of the party at Jana & Ben's house which upset me greatly. Today was Cali's blessing, she had the prettiest dress on. After church it was game time (of course instigated by Ryan!) I don't know why I was talked into it but somehow a game of SPOONS commenced. I haven't played this game in several years but I must admit that I enjoyed myself very much even though I have 2 huge cuts on my hand and my entire body is hurting. There is something not right about a chubby girl diving herself into a pile of spoons. What is sad about it is the fact that Malory and I were the worse players but there was an incident about a certain G.I. Joe fan deciding that he wanted to rip the spoon out of my hand because he didn't have one. Actually Josh interfered a lot during this game, Joel has an indented hand (spoon shaped) to prove it. Thanks Jana and Ben for a great day!

Some People Have Issues

First Off: I'm excited that there is another single person that has started a blog. I'm ecstatic about this event because that means when I click on Sam's name I know that I won't be forced to endure the pictures of little children running around in ridiculous costumes (unless its Pacen or Camry in there BYU attire.) To go along with these pictures I also won't have to hear things like, "my kids are so cute," "so and so did the cutest thing the other day," "I'm sorry that I write about my kids all the time but they are so stinking cute." Mothers please don't take offense, I'm saying this all in good humor but I won't deny that I would prefer to hear about the TRUE BLUE. My expectations are high Sam, I hope that you will meet them :) .

By The Way: Thanks for the input on ideas for my blog. Dan & Nellers get an F on the assignment. And not just an F but a RED F in the words of my father. Erica I actually appreciated your idea, I think I will do that once in a while. Jana I'm going to have to think about a good Coach Hemstalk story for you. If anyone has an idea down the road, please let me know.

Some People Have Issues: Some of you may have noticed LaNell's post today about her new shoes. LaNell cracks me up. If she had anything less than 50 pairs of shoes I do believe that she would think that she is poverty stricken. Above is her closet with all of her shoes. Don't ask me how many shoes she has because I'm pretty stupid and lost count at 48. Here is my theory about LaNell getting a new pair of running shoes, one word: DESPERATION! I tried to coax LaNell into getting online to meet men but she refused and so these are the extreme measures she is taking. Going into a shoe store to meet men. Don't you think that is kind of an expensive way to talk to guys LaNell? Well in any case I'm glad she met up with someone that likes to watch her run!!! I just want to remind you LaNell that some children walk around with no shoes at all, maybe you could be more charitable. By the way our nice room mate Katie helped me plot this out, I like that I'm rubbing off on her! :)

An Inquiry

So a week has already gone by and I have nothing to write about. Lets face it, when I'm between my abundant boyfriends I have nothing exciting going on in my life. I know that everyone would get sick of hearing my thoughts on the BYU basketball team and I can only break up with Jimmer so many times. So anyway my point is this; on the weeks that I have nothing to write about I am going to draw from a list constructed by everyone who reads this blog. Pretty much I am asking for ideas. It could be a scene from a movie or TV show acted out (with my own spin on it,)since I have recording technology. It could be subjects that you would like to hear about (as long as it isn't about pink frilly dresses, actually never mind, I would like to write about that.) I can recall some high school era stories if someone would like to black mail another person or re-live our gross and awkward years. So throw in some suggestions especially if I don't know that you read my blog!

Its been too long

Well there aren't really that many excuses for me waiting so long to post but I will tell you two reasons. First is that I work as many hours as 3 Mexicans. The other reason is that I am addicted to FACEBOOK now. I don't know what I love more about it, the lack of pressure in having to write a clever little speech or the sheer joy I feel when I can reject someone after they have tried to add me as a friend. Anyway, I will try to be a little more balanced out.

First Event: Carrie's Wedding

I am happy that Carrie got married but unfortunately I had to work instead of attend her wedding. Angelee flew in town for the wedding which was fun. I just have to say that she and I are the only ones that aren't party poopers! On Friday night Angelee, Than, Erica, Dan, LaNell and I went out to dinner. I am going to complain about not getting any dinner until 9 pm and when I ended up eating the setting felt like I was an extra in My Big Fat Greek Wedding (never the less it was fun!) Not only was there no Dr. Pepper there but I also thought that the workers were going to bring out 2 chickens so that we could watch them fight. So the hour was getting late but I wanted to hang out with Angelee some more and so we decided to meet up at Erica's house. The hilarious part about this was that it only ended up Angelee and I watching American Idol. Erica being the perfect hostess fell asleep so we took a pic (it didn't turn out that well otherwise I would have posted it.) LaNell didn't come because she secretly wanted to beat everyone 's Wii scores but tried to tell us that she was tired. Good times though. I patted Angelee's little belly and gave a pep talk to Princess Chuck about the cruel people in this world that are no doubt going to make fun of her. Thanks for being a good sport Pilar!

Nellers got a Wii

I have mixed emotions about the Wii. I do like a lot of the games on it and I also like watching people do the games because 98% of the time they look like complete idiots. Draw backs of the Wii include: LaNell trying to get me on it and then taping me looking like an idiot!! Second problem is that this Wii time everone wants interrupts my TV watching time which is important. The third problem is that Samarella and Cinderella go head to head like a bunch wild hyenas. They try to beat each others score and so one way or the other I have to listen to someone cry because they are only second best.

True Blue???

Than, if you ever tell me I am not true blue again, I will cut you!

Popular

I very much regret not having the camera available during the car ride to Sandy but hopefully I can paint a vivid enough picture for you so that it will be just as funny. Last night LaNell's aunt invited LaNell, Katie, Dan, Sam and myself over to her house for dinner. We saw no point in taking 2 vehicles and so all 5 of us decided to pack ourselves into LaNell's car. Now, the only reason why I can say this is because my statement applies to me; there are some of us that take up more room than others. So taking everyone body mass index into account I would say that there were 8 people in a 5 passenger vehicle! Since everyone was packed in we decided to sing some songs (great idea since out of the 5 of us only one person could make it into a choir, that is Katie.) Between songs Sam delighted us with quotes from Pride and Prejudice. I have to say that Sam has a variety of voices that he can do proficiently, I was very impressed. I almost peed my pants (that would have been fun.) On the way home, we decided to put in the soundtrack Wicked. I just have to say that the experience was one that I won't forget for a while! I think every one's favorite song was Popular which was sang with much exuberance!

The Queen Cookie Maker

I hope that Annette or Jana don't take offense to this remark but LaNell is the queen cookie maker! I have definitely eaten great cookies before (believe me, I have had my fair share plus some!) but I am convinced that LaNell has something she puts into her batter that makes me coming back for more. She has recently tried a new recipe. I don't know what happened, I'm pretty sure that the cookies were eaten by a pack of ravenous wolves because they were gone in 2 days. Thanks for helping me keep my slender figure LaNell!

I'm Breaking Up With You!

Dear Jimmer,

I'm sorry to inform you that our relationship is over! I just can't take it anymore! I'm about to clean out Wal Mart of all their chocolate due to stress and my room mates don't want to be around me because I'm cranky. You don't even seem to notice me, I feel neglected. You haven't gotten a massage yet, I haven't gotten any free tickets to the games and yet I show my undying dedication by coming to every home game. Your performance in the last several games have been nothing to smile about, if anything vomit forms and comes up through my nose. Do you not know how to block? Do you not know how to shoot a 2 pointer instead of a 3 pointer when there is 3 seconds left ( the game wouldn't have gone into overtime!) Can you score more than 8 points a game (San Diego State?) I'm sick of giving but never getting a win back. Please don't try to win me back with roses and candies, they will do you no good. Good luck with your future. As for me my heart will hopefully mend in the upcoming years. I shall never forget the pain you have caused me.

Sincerely,

Bitter & Depressed

LOST is back!!!

LOST is back in full force, I am a happy person! LOST is so awesome, there are so many reasons why I love it, the most important reasons are right above this string of words :) ! I don't know why it is but I have such a weakness for dark skin, long hair, beards, tattoos and a guy with a gun :) ! Who can pass up these hotties???? If you think that you can, we can no longer be friends. Several other things that I like about LOST: how Sun has developed into a vengeful & cynical creature (I hope that she breaks out some Karate Kid moves.) They all have to go back! I think that everyone is more interesting on the island rather than off it. Is John Latham going to come back to life?? I love how Benjamin Lynos has somehow weaseled his way into every one's life again (clever guy!)

I rate the first episode a 9.5 out of 10. The only thing I hated about watching LOST is that I made the mistake of watching it at Jana & Ben's house. So I won't lie, I was completely engrossed in the show, the commercials started and then Ben stepped in from the computer room (quietly,) and then screamed out. I'm not going to say that I jumped 50 feet in the air because nobody will believe that but I will say that if everyone continues to scare me I am going to die at a very young age!!!
